We are excited to announce the newest member of The Sheward Partnership team! Tazrin Islam, Assoc. AIA, LEED Green Associate has joined TSP as a Designer and Sustainability Specialist out of our Philadelphia office.
Tazrin comes from an architectural design background but also aspires to become an advocate for sustainable design. She believes designers should always rethink and reform their ongoing approach and innovate to make positive changes towards a better future. Harmony of the natural and built environment, quantitative and systematic evaluation of a sustainable design approach, and climate change mitigation strategies are some of her biggest areas of interest in her professional research.
After completing her Bachelor of Architecture degree, she was involved with a group of enthusiastic design professionals in Bangladesh and started her professional career in the field of architecture and academia simultaneously. She has successfully participated in a variety of design competitions as well. Her interest in ‘design-research’ eventually led her to pursue an advanced education; a Master of Architecture at Penn State University in the sustainability cluster. She received the Distinguished Master’s Thesis Award for her final work.
Away from the design world, Tazrin is an avid reader and occasional writer.
We are excited to have Tazrin join our design and sustainability team and we look forward to seeing her grow at The Sheward Partnership!
Welcome, Tazrin!
