We are excited to announce a new member of The Sheward Partnership team! Sam Calhoun, LEED AP BD+C, CHC has joined TSP’s sustainability team as a Sustainability Project Manager out of our Philadelphia office!
Samuel is a LEED Accredited Professional and certified healthcare constructor. He brings over 10 years of construction industry experience to The Sheward Partnership Sustainability team. His experience in HVAC control systems, architectural estimating, and construction project management enable him to see the through-lines from specification to occupancy.
Sam achieved his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering at Villanova University with a focus in thermal fluid system design. This education, above all else, taught him how to make processes more efficient. He was an invaluable resource as the only construction manager LEED AP on a LEED v4 Silver for Healthcare project. This field experience sparked a passion for sustainable design and architecture. Sam regularly participates in Green Building United programming and has maintained his LEED credential diligently for 5 years.
When Sam isn’t at work, he is an avid home chef and considers J Kenji Lopez-Alt’s “The Food Lab,” akin to the bible. You can typically find Sam at the Italian market trying to use his mediocre Spanish to buy groceries. Sam and his fiancé love finding the best pastries at home and abroad. He also loves to run and thinks that is the best way to explore a new place.
We are excited to have Sam supporting our sustainability team. Welcome to the team, Sam!
