We are excited to have Lauren Johnson with us as a design intern this summer! Lauren is an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, studying Architecture with a design concentration and a minor in Urban Real Estate and Development. Lauren began her architectural journey shadowing in the TSP Philadelphia office in 2021. Eager to learn more after her time in the office, she spent the following year researching how sustainability is and can be integrated into architecture. In the year after, Lauren continued her research by analyzing society’s impact on sustainable architecture. She also shadowed an AutoCAD specialist in an engineering office in order to understand how the software is used in the design and planning process.
In the fall of 2024, Lauren is looking forward to taking a studio class, further developing her drawing and modeling skills as she will be utilizing 3D digital modeling software and digital fabrication. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring Philly’s architecture, reading, going to the gym, and dancing. She has been dancing for 15 years and is currently on the executive board for one of Penn’s dance clubs. Lauren is also a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. As a chapter, their philanthropy efforts are focused towards supporting women’s heart health.
We are thankful to have Lauren supporting our design and sustainability team this summer! Welcome to the team, Lauren!
