CONGRATULATIONS to Sumaiya Mehjabeen, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP on achieving her LEED Accredited Professional credential in Building Design + Construction & Ang Nekoranik, LEED Green Associate for successfully achieving her LEED Green Associate credential! In order to become a LEED Green Associate, which is a prerequisite to becoming a LEED AP, you must first pass a 100-question exam administered by the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). USGBC defines the LEED Green Associate distinction as, “a foundational professional credential signifying core competency in green building principles. The exam measures general knowledge of green building practices and how to support others working on LEED projects and is ideal for those new to green building.” Congratulations to Ang for this high achievement!
After becoming a LEED Green Associate, you are eligible to take the LEED Accredited Professional exam with a specialty, such as Building Design + Construction. USGBC describes this credential as “an advanced professional credential signifying expertise in green building and a LEED rating system…The exams measure knowledge about green building, a specific LEED rating system and the certification process and are ideal for individuals who are actively working on green building and LEED projects.” Sumaiya also achieved her WELL Accredited Professional credential in December, administered by the International WELL Building Institute. Congratulations to Sumaiya on all of her success!
