2400 Market Street

The Sheward Partnership was commissioned by PMC Property Group to serve as the Sustainability and LEED Consultant on the major renovation and expansion project of the existing 2400 Market Street Building. The 1915 building—originally a truck factory—was doubled in height, receiving a completely new building envelope and highly efficient VRF mechanical system, and adding a pedestrian promenade, all while reusing 85% of the existing building. The five new floors house the 300,000 SF anchor tenant, Aramark, and the five existing floors were re-built to accommodate current and potential commercial and retail tenants. The project also includes a promenade overlooking the Schuylkill River Walk that links Chestnut and Walnut Streets.
