Harrisburg International Airport – New Airport Passenger Terminal

The Sheward Partnership provided full architectural services to the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority (SARAA) for its Capital Improvement Program. To increase flight capacity, efficiency of operations, security and passenger service, SARAA launched an ambitious building program. Included are the extension of the existing internal loop road, expansion of the airfield apron, erection of a new Terminal Building, an intermodal transportation center and a train station to be operated by AMTRAK. All buildings are linked by climate-controlled pedestrian bridges. These improvements promise to position Harrisburg International Airport for a growing share of the air travel market.
