Francis E. Willard School

The Sheward Partnership was commissioned by the School District of Philadelphia to serve as the LEED and Sustainability Consultant on the new Francis E. Willard School, designed to accommodate 850 students from Kindergarten through 4th Grade. The new facility includes 62 classrooms with special shared rooms for technical education, family life management, a computer lab, science lab, studio art and music, a gymnasium, a 300-seat auditorium, and a cafeteria with a fully equipped commercial kitchen, as well as administrative offices and support spaces. The project was awarded LEED Silver certification under the LEED for Schools v2.0 Rating System.
