Meridian Health – Jersey Shore University Medical Center

The Sheward Partnership was commissioned by Meridian Health System to serve as the LEED and Green Guide for Health Care Consultant on The Transformation project at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The development of this phase of their campus master plan involved the construction of a new 216,000 square foot Patient Tower, a 120,000 square foot Diagnostics and Treatment Building, a 20,000 square foot Central Utility Plant and a multi-level parking structure to house nearly 1,000 vehicles. The project was the first inpatient hospital in New Jersey to achieve LEED certification and the third LEED Gold certified hospital in the United States.
